Mikey Melas (aka Jensen Interceptor & formerly half of Light Year) has been producing, finishing and releasing tracks at an almost alarmingly fast rate. On top of that, he’s got a knack for getting those tracks out through the right channels.  In just 3 years, Mikey’s managed to get 25 original tracks out through a handful of esteemed labels: Boys Noize Records, Motorik, Space Control, Twin Turbo and more.

In this excerpt from our INPUT event in November 2014,  Mikey talks through some of his tips on dealing with record labels and staying productive – from how to send your track to a label, right through to dealing with the frustration of delayed releases.

This presentation was filmed at INPUT – a quarterly producer’s conference for up-coming music makers to learn directly from and also engage with, a guest lineup of world renowned music producers and influential players in the music industry.
