We are proud to announce the next instalment of our regular production conference, INPUT. The event is designed to give budding producers a chance to hear from some of the local electronic music scene’s leading producers and industry operators about how they got where they are.
RÜFÜS will be taking us through how they use Ableton Live for their live sets.
RÜFÜS will be talking us through their journey – from humble beginnings, to ARIA chart domination, focusing on the most valuable tips and advice they’ve learnt along the way (and wish they knew when they started out). They’ll also be showing us under the hood of how they took their studio produced album and turned it into an engaging stage show using Ableton Live.
Emoh Instead, one half of What So Not, will show us inside the Ableton session behind one of the duos notorious bootleg remixes.
What So Not (Emoh Instead) will be sharing tips on how he overcame initial obstacles like music theory and sound design in his productions, and will also be opening up some of What So Not’s Ableton Live Sets to share the processes and techniques used within their tracks.
Vic Edirisinghe will be speaking from his experiences as co-founder of Astral People, as well his other ventures which include record label founder Plastic World, festival creator of OutsideIn, founder of hip-hop touring company ‘Way 2 Fonky’ and management of artists Rainbow Chan, Dro Carey, Polographia, Alba, Cliques, Preacha and Mike Who. Some serious industry insight.
Mixing & Mastering techniques from Ableton Certified Trainer & Studios 301 manager, Anthony Garvin.
There will be prizes, giveaways and Q&A time with all the presenters. The event will be hosted by Adam Maggs (Ableton Australia/Ableton Certified Trainer).
INPUT is being held on the 9th of November from 1PM at FBi Social in Kings Cross. FBi Social is a licensed venue, so the this is an 18+ event.
