AbletonĀ have just released the brand new LiveĀ 12.1 update and included are a range of device updates as well as new devicesĀ Auto ShiftĀ andĀ Drum Sampler – when we say these two are game changing, we don’t mean this lightly.

Check out Liveschool Trainer MossĀ using both Drum SamplerĀ +Ā Auto Shift together using the Auto Shift’s MIDI-in feature:

Auto Shift

The pitch correction (auto-tune) tool designed for real-time pitch adjustment. This includes theĀ scale awarenessĀ button from Live 12, making it the first scale aware audio-effect.Live 12.1 Auto Shift

Drum Sampler

This device offers advanced features for creating and manipulating drum sounds within a single instrument – even featuring inbuilt effects like FM, ring mod and 8-bit (?!). The new Ableton Move also features this as it’s default drum rack housing for samples, making the controller a powerhouse for drum programming.

Improved Limiter and Saturator

Both devices have been redesigned for better performance.

  • Two new MPE-specific MIDI Transformations: Glissando and LFO
Freezing Group Tracks

This one is a hidden feature, which you can add using the Options.txt function, which is a set of optional commands that aren’t accessible through the regular user interface and are often experimental.

Follow the steps hereĀ then Paste the code -_GroupTrackFreeze into your Options.txt file.
