Triple J’s Hottest 100 is beyond iconic. From humble beginnings in 1989 through to today, the iconic music poll gives an overview of Australia’s pop cultural landscape the way nothing else can. With over 2 million votes cast each year, its referred to as the “worlds largest music democracy”. Our Trainers and Alumni are well represented every year, and the 2020 edition was no different.

Huge props to the fam – here was our top picks from the Liveschool alumni for the 2020 countdown.

The winner? In a huge win for DIY artists, Billie Eillish took number one – she’s the first solo female to take out the top spot, and also the youngest winner in the comps history. In fact she had 5 songs in the top 100, with Flume close behind with 3 tracks making the list.

Hottest 100 has a long history of local and indie artists winning over the nation – and we can’t wait to see which of our fam will be cracking the list next summer.
