The world record for the longest natural reverb was smashed this month by Trevor Cox, Professor of Acoustic Engineering at the University of Salford, in a recording captured in an underground oil storage tank from WWII.
We’ve used the impulse response from the record breaking event to create a custom maxforlive convolution reverb – so now you can run anything you like through the world’s longest natural reverb, all inside Ableton Live. As well as being the longest natural reverb ever, it actually sounds really good!
Just for fun we ran Liveschool trainer Touch Sensitive‘s track ‘Pizza Guy’ through the device, so here’s what Pizza Guy sounds like through the world’s longest reverb:
