Produce Music graduate Kuangyu Tian has been releasing tunes as Entity 97 for the past year or so, tapping into the ethereal territory occupied by the likes of Jamie XX and Tycho. He’s graced us with a new cut, this blissful remix for Sydney songwriter/producer Rainbow Chan’s single, ‘Let Me’:
Kuangyu told us that Rainbow’s track was one of his favourites from last year, which inspired him to strike up a conversation:
“Two months ago I sent an email to Rainbow, expressing my love for her music with hope to remix the song. She agreed to let me do the remix, which was so exciting for me.”
The track was finished off just after Live 10’s release, giving Kuangyu a chance to use the updated features for the production.
“I decided to push my limits further, try new things and make it unique… experimenting with Echo, Wavetable and Pedal in Live 10. I’m really loving the new workflow Live 10 brings.”
The remix has been getting some spins on FBi Radio in Sydney, one of Australia’s leading tastemaker radio stations. Kuangyu is understandably stoked.
“I shared it with Rainbow and she digs it. It was also unbelievable to see people from FBi Radio love it!”
