A now-ubiquitous force in the Sydney electronic music scene, Motorik is both a record label, festival and club promotions company. Behind it all is a bunch of mates who all produce music. Among them are Liveschool trainer Francis Xavier, and Liveschool alumnus Dreems, the Santamaria brothers and Vi Hermens.
Together they have clocked up 5 years of releasing music, championing a local brand of techno and dancefloor-driven electronic music – and to celebrate they have released a compilation titled MTK027 – 5 Years of Motorik: An Australian electronic music experiment.
