Since we heard that trainer our newest recruit Ninajirachi was collaborating with one of our dearest grads Nina Las Vegas, it has been hard to keep it under wraps. But the wait is over, their debut collaborative track ‘Thursdays’ has just been released, closing out Nina Las Vegas’s debut EP, Lucky Girl.
The tune is a dancefloor delight, with punchy drums, rave synths, and probably one of the most high energy flute parts of the last decade.
It’s easy to hear a real synergy in the track between Ninajirachi’s inimitable melodies and Nina Las Vegas’s baltimore club rhythms, so we got in touch with the two producers to ask about the process behind achieving a successful collaboration.
Filmed in our studios, the pair gave us a run-down of how Thursdays was put together, and how they learned from each other’s songwriting in the process. While they were in the studio, we took the opportunity to ask for some advice on working with other producers, so there’s some valuable tips in here to help kickstart your next collab.
