Things are moving quickly for Liveschool graduate Blake Strange. As the world went into lockdown last year, Strange turned his attention inwards and focused on channeling more of his energy into music. After previously releasing two tracks with a brighter and straightforward House influence, his productions have expanded in scope, taking on a more nuanced sound from a richer range of influences.

The result of this shift is the track Shadow, an introspective dive into broken beats and dreamy synthscapes. Shadow marks the start of something new for Strange in more ways than one. The tune has been signed to Stil vor Talent, the imprint of German tastemaker DJ Oliver Koletzki.

Coming in as the second track on the new Stil vor Talent compilation, Blake holds his own on the compilation amongst big names like Andhim and Stimming. Going head to head with artists of this calibre is a huge moment for an artist in the early stages of their career, and we’re stoked to hear Blake sounding fresh and forward thinking amongst the more established acts on the compilation.

The big news doesn’t end there for Blake. His next two tracks have been signed to Capital Heaven, the label owned by London duo Framework. Exploring a heavier and darker sound, yet still retaining his melodic edge, the tracks Azizam and Flow are sure to find their way to the ears of DJs worldwide.

With a global spanning release schedule, Blake is in good shape to take his career to the next level in the post pandemic world.
