At just 18 years old, Nina’s productions are well-honed and far beyond her years.
In the 2 years before finishing high school she had already – not once, but twice – made huge waves as a finalist in triple j’s Unearthed High competition in both 2016 and 2017. Since, she’s been going from strength to strength with a stellar run of independent releases.
So it’s with huge excitement to hear that the newest trainer to join the Liveschool team has just dropped a new track Pathetic, the first from her debut EP Lapland that’s soon to follow.
 .
“Pathetic” somehow tiptoes that fine-line between melancholy and upbeat pop – a bitter-sweet theme that wraps concise production clarity around the flawless performance by Swedish vocalist Naah.

On collaborating with Swedish vocalist, Naah.

“Naah sent me a message on Soundcloud around October last year saying she had written a song with some friends and would like to collaborate on it.

I don’t usually meet collaborators in this way, but her music/voice is super nice and I loved everything about Pathetic. She is based in Stockholm, so she sent me stems with which to build the track and we emailed back and forth.

When she first hit me up I was mid-HSC exams, so I was pretty slack on replies/music and I didn’t finish the song until around February, but I really love how it came together in the end.”

Nina to the power of Nina

Ninajirachi’s new stable is NLV Records, founded by the inimitable Nina Las Vegas. Not only does this mean she joins the likes of Swick, UNIIQU3, Kota Banks – it also saw her work directly with her label boss on their track “Thursdays” from the Lucky Girl EP – and they took us through their collaboration methods, which you can watch here:
