Recently we chipped-in to help the amazing music outreach workshop team Heaps Decent raise funds to get their productions released and as thanks they wrote us a tribute tune (legends!).

The song was written by their emerging artists Tommy Gunz and Tasha Lee Marshall and produced by Heaps Decent facilitator Adam Bozzetto (Wordlife) in their weekly Homebase workshop at the Redfern Community Centre.

Heaps Decent

… are a non-profit charity group who we helped develop their workshop techniques. They are a team of accomplished producers making music with kids and teenagers throughout the state, from inner-city Sydney to outback NSW – and who do their sessions using Ableton Live. So much great music and talent is emerging from these workshops that the next step in taking these works to completion (mixing, mastering, distribution and marketing) needed a crowd-funding campaign to raise the capital.

The crowd-funding campaign reached it’s $10k goal with a week to go, and ultimately raised $12,838 meaning Heaps Decent can start getting the talents of these kids heard.
